Curtis keeps getting brought up but Curtis can't come close to the talent that a school like Karr can put on the field

Curtis vs Karr Signees

Curtis
- 2014 (4 with D1 offers, 2- 4 star players)
- 2013 (7 with D1 offers)
- 2012 (2 D1 signees)
- 2011 (1 with D1 offers, 1- 1AA signee)
- 2010 (3 D1 signees, 2- 1AA signees)
- 2009 (3 D1 signees)
- 2008 (4 D1 signees, 1- 1AA signee)
- 2007 (7 D1 signees)

Karr
- 2014 (2 with D1 offers, 2 4- star players)
- 2013 (2 with D1 offers)
- 2012 (4 D1 signees, 1 with D1 offers)
- 2011 (2 D1 signees, 1- 1AA signee)
- 2010 (4 D1 signees, 4- 1AA signees)
- 2009 (3 D1 signees, 1 with D1 offer)
- 2008 (1- 1AA signee)
- 2007 (2 D1 signees)

Yep, not even close!

Forgive me if I'll wait to see if Karr can sustain the level they're at with a new head coach, and after next year having to recover from the lost of 2 of the best players in the state. Until then I'll hedge my bets on Curtis's (25 championships) and Evangel's (13 championships) and history of sustainability over Karr's 1 championship in the past 20 years.

Sadly the overwhelming majority of talent at a place like Karr never comes close to its potential

If you want to make the obvious point that Curtis is better at developing their kids to reach their potential then yay for you. If you want to try to understand the point that Karr has an abundance of kids that are off the charts physically but don't necessarily take care of themselves, their school work, etc

The outstanding kids at Curtis get every bit of attention they need to develop into the best they can be. Some of the best talent at Karr may never get eligible or may only be eligible for a portion of their HS career. One thing Juluke did was get those kids in the program and develop them to a point to rival even Curtis in recruiting circles. They have been there in cycles but they didn't always see the field or stay there.
