The vote was 206-119. The LHSAA has 90 private members, which means only about 29 public schools wanted to keep the playoffs together. 29 schools is not even 10%. Which means the public schools see this as a huge win, and are probably partying at this point

Germany thought it was a good idea to invade Russia too.

Lots of people can agree on a stupid idea. This qualifies as such a case.

Here's their plan:

1. Let's kick out our best teams from the private schools

2. Let's kick out our most resourceful public schools too.

3. Let's call it the "select" division -- kind of like USSSA baseball and AAU basketball -- just to reinforce the notion that they play a better brand of football in that division

4. Let's give out trophies to the rest of us and pretend we're just as good.

Brilliance, LHSAA. The dumbest people in the state seem to be our educators these days.

It will be interesting to see the most media coverage. Fourth Down on 4, Friday Nite Football, WWL870, do you really think that they will do a 50%/50% split with the coverage between select & non-select? 75%/25% or will it be even more slanted?
