The butthurt in this thread is almost entirely from the privates. That tells me they think they have the most to lose, their talk about this hurting the public schools notwithstanding.

It's not about what's to lose; it's about the LHSAA and the majority of public schools saying that they want the private schools money but don't want to play them.

I just don't think it makes much sense. LA isn't a big enough state and I feel like there really isn't that big of a gap between public and private schools

A state like Texas, on the other hand, completely needs this, even though for them the public schools have the advantage
