Damn. I thought he was dead set against it.
The money must have been too much to turn down.

His camp will deny it in a few hours.

Until this changes:

Reached by TheWrap, Lynne Hale, spokeswoman for Lucasfilm, declined to comment immediately. Neither CAA, which represents Abrams, nor Bad Robot immediately responded to requests for comment.

Come on.
He did The new Start Trek movies.
Basically anything you see that has Bad Robot in the begining credits, he is involved with it.

I tend to agree. I just read a quote by him that said he didn't want any part of the new Star Wars movies because he was too big of a fan and didn't want to be involved in anything that would further degrade the franchise.

i could see him thinking it over and finally giving in.
this has gotta be his dream job.

the new star trek was pretty alright, not quite as cheese nuts as the original ones. Hopefully he will put out some credible Jedi movies...we deserve them sorely...Just looked up his bio and apparently he was also involved in LOST. that worries me a bit.

I hope he pulls a Felicity and takes Star Wars back in time. Can you imagine the nerd rage?

This seems to be fake.

Haven't found a reputable site running with this one yet.
It's so easy for some these hack sites to get hits nowadays.
