He has one thing that everyone must recognize: phenomenal physical abilities.

He is still young and may have gotten on the maturity train. I truly hope for the best and support this legendary Tiger in going back after the brass ring.

Well, I have been saying he could do better than most of the backups in the league and a couple of the trash starters....if he truly wants to. He might do better with virtually zero expectations.

Saw him at the NCG 2 years ago. He was talking about it then.

If he can get under 280 he'll get a shot as a back up somewhere. If you're the chiefs why not

I'd rather him as a free agent at league minimum over any qb in the draft

You would be the dumbest GM even worse than Jerry.

You mean the one who took 40 million to play football and said frick it and ate himself out of a job and didn't work hard?

I have very little sympathy for him.

Good for him...I hope he makes it.

It's astounding, though not surprising, that there are LSU fans ripping on a former Tiger. Proving once again what Chad Jones said about this place the other day...

I wish the best for him, but he pissed away his career in the NFL.

Wasn't there a whole SI piece that came out last year about his making a comeback?

Good to see the people he has surrounded himself with. And the people saying a GM would be an idiot to sign him, why? If he gets in shape, you could sign him for almost nothing as a flyer. Not like you have to pay him first round money any more. In signing a backup you could do a lot worse

JR and Tebow are the NFL's newest TE prototype. Play QB, get all the tards to believe you really have what it takes to succeed in the NFL, make a shitload of money, then bust and make a come back. Instant hero.

Yes but he allegedly cleaned up.

Tebow and Russell are nothing alike. Terrible comparison. Wow.

He's the biggest bust in NFL history behind Ryan Leaf. I don't think anyone is giving him undue grief. If he would have just at least cared, I think people would have his back more.

This.

Yet we all just wanna "tear a tiger" down. Yeah. That's just it

I live in mobile and see him at the corner barber shop tossing passes in the street. Still has a crowd around here. Almost like he still wants to be known throughout the maysville community. I wish him the best. He still looked big but was making everyone around happy. He did not look drunk like his friends catching passes.

If he's 300+, he hasn't been serious about a comeback. If he was, he would have never gotten to 320. That's absurd. I've been an LSU fan my whole short life but I never cared for the guy. He can throw far, ok, but he can't hit a receiver. I just don't see this happening. Sorry Bama Boy Russell.

$36 million +? Doubt it.

He ain't coming back. It has already been too long out of the league.

It is it. The fact that he was a bust in the National Football League and seemingly pissed away HIS future has no effect on your life, unless of course you're related to JaMarcus or work for him in some capacity. Otherwise, the only way it effects you is that you feel that since you self associate with LSU you have to answer for his failures.

You don't. Grow up.

JaMarcus is a former Tiger who played his arse off while here and did nothing to make Tiger fans do anything but like him. even those with mancrushes on Flynn were excited that an LSU QB went #1 overall.

He didn't break any laws or hurt anyone but himself. Had he done those things, I'd understand the desire to cut ties. all he did was not live up to expectations and ultimately let himself down more than us. As an LSU fan I feel bad for a former Tiger even though he clearly did it to himself. I hope he succeeds...why wouldn't all Tiger fans?

But hey...keep telling yourself you're keeping it real.

a lot of LSU fans turned on him when he wore the "Bama Boy" chain at the NC game. I, personally, couldn't care less and wish him the best. What he's done the last several years doesn't effect me at all so i don't see any reason to bash the man.
