Andy Reid coaches offense. 7/8 vacancies that were filled were filled by offensive coaches. Love smith doesn't have a job because he coaches the wrong side of the ball not because he's black.

Plus Reid is known for developing QBs (or atleast making them look better than they are), if you are an offensivly droughted team like KC, Reid is the first guy youre going to want to call.
ETA lovie also has the personality of a bark of wood and apparently bombed all his interviews.

Hey Tony, all of those teams would have hired you if you threw your name in

gotta admit that chris rock brings up a good point here
ETA: Also, didn't Lovie's team finish 10-6 after a 7-1 start? That's got something to do with it, too.
So, there's that.

Every time the NFL goes through a rule change or a hot button issue, we all have to stop and see what Tony Dungy has to say on the matter. I am getting sick of it.

That's what I get aggrivated over. It's not like he's the only black person to ever be a HC. I don't understand why he's been appointed the Al Sharpton of the NFL.

That and he wasn't meeting their standard in his current position
If the bears made the playoffs this year he retains his job
Go figure that black coaches get fired for under performing just like their white counterparts

Yeah, what does Tony Dungy know about the institutional racism of the NFL and its resulting hiring practices?
Oh, right.
The guy that had 2 different head coaching jobs in the NFL?
Yeah makes sense.

The only reason Tony Dungy is even recognized at the grocery store is because Peyton Manning made him look like the greatest offensive mind in football for a decade or so. Dungy got canned quick in Tampa where there was no on-the-field coach.

Who thought Dungy was an offensive mind?

You've never watched football before have you?

The idea that owners aren't hiring head coaches just bc they're black is absurd. They have no problem hiring black football players and paying them millions of dollars if they're the best player for the job.
The reason no black coaches are hired is bc the league is going offensive and most offensive coordinators are white. Why? Bc almost all offensive coordinators we're either QB's or olinemen bc that's who has to understand the whole offense. And those are the positions, at least 20 years ago, that were the whitest in the league. RB's and WR's don't need to understand the whole schematic of the offense nearly as well to do their job. Also, white players generally have to have a better understanding of schemes to compensate for less athleticism. I bet in 20 years you'll see the RG3's and Russell Wilson's and Mcnabbs of the world get coaching jobs if they want

Outside of Curtis Johnson before he left for Tulane I can't think of any black offensive coaches

There's a plenty of black RB and WR coaches

That's my hypothesis as well
Positions that were dominated by whites years ago and still to this day are the positions that produce coaches
Why is no one bitching about the # of white QBs in the league? There are still only a handful of black starting QBs
Vick
Newton
RG3
Wilson
Vick isn't really guaranteed a starting spot next year either
