I wish you would have posted the Bama commits also, just wanted to compare how the Gumps fare in the new rankings whether their commits move up or down the board.

I know I am one of the posters that feels Rivals is completely bias in favor of Bama and feel their recruits get bumped up the board after they commit and LSU seems to have their signed commits drop. So I would have liked to compare.

That being said 3 championships in 4 years tells me that their 4 - #1 recruiting classes in the past 5 years are probably legit.

There are numbers of topics of conversation here.

Sure, NS is considered the best in biz, so it makes business sense to rate his commits higher, because they will always be competing for SEC titles with him as coach.

At the same time, Les and Co produce as many NFL players, also compete for the SEC annually and happened to win it in 2011. Bama has 2 SEC since 09. It begs the question why LSU guys don't get the same treatment.

Also, it's been beaten into the ground, but when does illegitimate rematches, and biased scheduling play a role in the media's eyes? LSU continues to have as much talent as Bama and compete annually, but our guys are typically rated lower and our schedule is ALWAYS harder. Answer: never and Bama will continue to get the special treatment. LSU fans just have to deal with it, but I have full confidence in Les and Co when it comes to evaluating talent, recruiting, etc.
