I mean it's still projects they take on that requires several months of shooting.

He's been filming since a child star.. and he only does top quality work of late. I see no shame in taking a break.. especially before turning 40.

this. it's not easy, at all. they work way more hours (when doing a movie) than the vast majority of people on here, too.

I know a lot of joking is going on in here. But in all honesty the movies Nicolas Cage works on, they are shot in like six weeks usually. The ones Leo is working on, probably run more like 4-6 months.

Well, I didn't say "film industry". I'm sure that most "movie industry" people bust their fricking arse on 16 hour days (grips, electricians, carpenters, producers, personal assistants, etc.).

I'm just not shedding any tears for entertainers like DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, or Harrison Ford who make 5 or 10 million for two or three months' work. Boo fricking hoo. 16 hours on location, half spent in a luxurious trailer with a car, driver, and three personal assistants at your beck and call.

If he would have said,"I'm taking a break." and left it at that, fine. Or said,"I'm going to recharge my batteries." or "I want to roam the desert and find myself". But I don't buy the "worn out" bit for a minute.

I don't ever recall Leo looking for sympathy about it. he just said that he is worn out from working on his roles and is going to take a long break. oh and by the way Leo gets way more than 5-10 million a film (more like 20 million+ in most cases) and he donates a lot of it to charitable and environmental causes.

Leo has basically worked non stop for well over a year. Dude had to work on Django, Gatsby and now Wolf on Wall Street.

Those are all extremely challenging roles.

One of the best actor's right now period. I'd rather him take a break if he's burnt out than keep making movies and eventually despise making films.

Even if he takes a year vacation, we'll still get two Leo movies this year (Gatsby, Wolf). That's fine by me.

If any actor deserved any kind of break at all, it's definitely DiCaprio. Dude puts out award winning performances for every movie he is in.

I like JGL and think he's a good actor. But he has like 1/13284734 the amount of on-screen charisma as Leo. He'll never be a megastar like Dicaprio IMO.
