I'm sure behind closed doors he is a bit annoyed by it, but he has been nominated 3 times and is only 38 years old. that's pretty damn good. although personally I think that the Academy got it wrong in 2006 by nominating him for Blood Diamond (should have been for The Departed like both the Globes and BAFTA's did). I also think that his work in Revolutionary Road was one of the best performances of his career next to only The Aviator and he was snubbed big time for that one. If I was in charge of his nominations it would have been -

Best Supporting Actor - What's Eating Gilbert Grape

Best Leading Actor - The Aviator *should have won*

Best Leading Actor - The Departed

Best Leading Actor - Revolutionary Road

Best Supporting Actor - Django Unchained

No disrespect, but you don't really know what it's like to work in the film industry.

I'm not saying that what that poster said was 100% right, and I do have no idea what it is like working in film, BUT I do know that all actors love what they do. That can't be said for a fair portion of the world that work their asses of all day doing stuff they HATE to do.

Yes, nobody that is in entertainment or wealthy knows what it is like to be tired. How do you think they got to that point?

I get what the poster was saying and I think it just came out wrong. I think it is indeed true that most actors and actresses are spoiled rotten and don't have a clue what it is like to have a real job and actually "work". however with that said you can't just say that all of them are that way. I can assure you that Leo was just making conversation in this interview about being worn out. Most of the best actors out there understand they are blessed in life. I've never gotten the "sense of entitlement" vibe from him like you do with some clowns like Vin Diesel for example.

Not all actors love the film industry.

AS to your second point, it's no else's fault if you or anyone else hates their job and life.

Why are you mad? It was a joke. I honestly don't give a damn what Leonardo Dicaprio does. The guy's a dick, but even if I did care, why do I have to mind my own business? Actors put themselves out there for the public. That's a part of their job, and they get criticism from people, internet, magazines, etc. Sorry my post got you so riled up though.

I wasn't referring to me at all. And I'm more talking about people outside of the USA that work all day in the fields and other places doing hard labor in 100+ degree weather just to provide for their family, and them being hungry all the time not knowing where there next meal will come from. I did this simulation acting like I was apart of a slum for 1 day, and it was the most exhausting and hungry I've ever been in my life. I can't even imagine having to do that everyday.

This isn't true either. Yes, most do but acting is a lot more difficult then walking around with beautiful women and travelling to luxurious places. Plus before you are a celebrity you live in some form of poverty barely scraping by as a waiter. It isn't all rosy.

I think you have brought this up before about how Leo dates around with all of the super models. you seem stuck on trying to hint that because he isn't married that it is a bad thing.

why is it a bad thing that he isn't interested in marriage and prefers dating the likes of Gisele Bundchen (Brady got his sloppy seconds), Bar Refaeli, Blake Lively, Erin Heatherton, etc., etc. ?

That may of been a strong word, it just seems to me like he wouldn't be that nice of a person if you knew him well. With all that stuff that happened when he didn't get an Oscar nomination for Titanic. Maybe I'm wrong, but that wasn't the point I was making.

I guess it's my own bias. He may have other views, and I respect that.

I'm not going against you, but I'm curious why you would audition if you didn't want to do it?

ETA: Plus, why would you continue to do it if you didn't love it?

I think that Leo realizes he is almost 40 now and if he follows the "DDL plan" by only making a movie once every 3-5 years then the Academy and media will bow down and hug his nuts over anything he does.

I know right. Acting is the easiest job in the world. All they do is recite lines and collect fat paychecks. It must be the liberal mindset inherent in all actors.
