Both of the Mississippi SEC Schools are of the worst academic Division One Schools in the entire nation. They are easily the worst in the SEC.
Wow you are a stupid frick. Got a link? Our grading system in MS is actually harder than Alabama's. if half the kids that went to Alabama public schools and qualified at UA or AU went to MS schools they wouldn't have the grades to qualify either. I don't know what LA's system is but MS and TN are both more difficult grading systems than Alabama's

I actually was surprised Miss State was ranked below Ol Miss as their engineering school has been turning out some pretty neat stuff lately.

I'm glad you've turned a simple question of why Ole Miss is getting some top recruits into a thread about your kids. Please take this to the "How great my kids are" board.

I softened it down. See edited response.

It's all about what you want to do with your life and your chosen field. My guess is most D1 football players are not looking to be rocket scientists or heart surgeons. These kids are looking to play at the next level. Ole Miss has very little depth. They played LSU with I believe a 59 man roster. LSU does have more talent and more depth. At Ole Miss playing time is now for a great player.

Getting a 2.3 GPA in sociology from Vandebilt or Stanford isn't gonna get you many jobs.

it's not what you know but WHO you know. Going to school with important people helped me at LSU (frat)
can't imagine what a school like Stanford could do

Those players who's parents really want to have their child get a quality education that is meaningful after they hang up their cleats, because a football career isn't hugely lucrative for the vast majority who pursue it, would steer them away from an Ol Miss "education" if they knew enough about those things. Notice you don't see the Ol Miss recruits decide to play for the Rebs over Vanderbilt, Duke, Stanford, Northwestern, Notre Dame, CAL, USC, UCLA and other top 25 Division One academic institutions.

you'd be shocked
especially since places like stanford/vandy believe in college for education and not as a trade skill
