bottom line is outside of a few exceptions most of the stuff you can get here tastes the same style for style with stuff you can't get here (for the most part). take the labels off and most won't be able to tell the difference...

Right, but I've had Double Jack and I've had Wooky Jack and they're great.

We don't have a DIPA in LA that's like that. Ruination 10th was a good alternative while we had it.
We also don't have a black Rye IPA in LA. I buy Tommyknocker's Black Rye IPA when I'm in MS but it's really not the same.

I once knew a guy that made a badass black ipa...
