Very interesting. I enjoy a good sugar cane rum. I need to get more into rum .. just too scared things will be too much like Bacardi, which is fricking awful.

Could not agree more. In my experience top shelf rum or GOOD rum isn't as well stocked at places as other things. You can find Captin Morgan anywhere which is ok.

I recently discovered 10 Cane rum and Pyrat rum.
Pyrat is made by the people from Patron.

Both are high end, potent, and tasty.

I had some fantastic rum from Turks and Caicos last weekend. Made a cocktail with some honey lime juice and rum over ice and was feeling good.
