If Ogletree can get past the character concerns he is a playmaker on the field. I'm no scout but my thought on him is basically Why couldn't he be a 3-4 rush OLB? Everything about him looks like he could do it to me. We talk Mingo who only 4-3 DE-ed to OLB like it is nothing. I've heard and read Ogltree inside only several times. Just don't see why?

Richardson I thought strongly of before the 3-4 switch. He's a 1st Rder as a 4-3 DT. Dunno if he can project to 3-4 at all.

Throwing in a link here...

I like Drafttek. Not absolute in all their ratings but they do have some good tools. One of my favorites is Positional Rankings. They divide them all into types like 34NTs & 43 DTs. For LBs they divide up the 34s from the 43s as well. The go so far as to divide WRs as speed receivers, big receivers, total receivers, etc.

yeah, I've really got nothing here. Kind of had the same thought about Werner since he's projected as a 4-3 DE. I don't see why he couldn't be a 3-4 OLB. He's basically the same size as Ryan Kerrigan who also was a 4-3 guy in college. But he's doing pretty good in a 3-4 for the Redskins.

kiper has him going to us in his latest mock. At first, I thought he was just being lazy as he's put a D-Lineman in just about every mock he's done for us. But the more you think about it, that is how you build a 3-4 defense anyway from the inside out.

I guess there are a few players already on the roster who we really don't know where they are going to play. I know there are depth charts for our team posted around the internet and that is nice and all, but we don't REALLY know yet. Picking Richardson would leave us thinking the same way I guess. But then I'm sure the coaches would explain where they envision him playing and by then, they would start to have to answer some other questions from the media as to where they see guys like Hicks and Bunkley playing. My guess is Bunkley would be a nose tackle, not exactly sure on Hicks.

edit: I've read some on Richardson. The scout at Pro Football Weekly thinks he's a scheme versatile guy. take that fwiw but Nolan Nawrocki is a respected guy I would think. He did make a huge stink on his analysis on Cam Newton though.
