Pressure cooker.....first meals

Aquired a Fissler Blue Point pressure cooker off woot last week. Here it is:
First stab at it was chuck roast with carrots and potatoes. Came out really good but the recipe I used has a lot of tomato paste which I though was too much. I was right but it was very good.
Tonight I used the pressure cooker to make chicken soup. Perfect for a rainy blustery day. It took less than an hour to prepare and was very good. Next time I will make a stock with roasted bones for a little more depth of flavor. Not bad for a quickie meal during the week.
Overall, I think I'm going to like this pressure cooker. It is my first experience cooking with one and I can't wait to make Osso Buco or lamb shanks next.

Just searched the interwebz and watched a few youtube vids to acclimate myself to the new cooking method.

My mother-in-law cooks a chili using a pressure cooker. She uses a brisket for the meat and cooks it down in the pressure cooker somehow and then makes the chili. Some of the best chili I've ever had.

Bump.
Just made a pot of red beans in about 45 minutes in the pressure cooker that came out great. Everything done in same pot so limited mess to clean and well worth the effort.
Now, who has an older version they want to sell to me. I think I may just make a still and use the ethanol as a fuel in case of the economic apocalypse.

I have an old version from 1972, can you beat that?!
This was my grandma's unit, and I got it when she died.
Pulled it out the other day to see about using it, but the gasket is too deteriorated and the little valve off to the side (on the lid) is missing a piece, so it's no good. Will have to buy a new one. Kind of excited, because my mom cooked a lot of good dishes in her pressure cooker.
