Nah, I know of two places in one parish that are holding around 250-300K mallards respectively.

According to the feds, the largest number a couple of weeks ago was 30,000 and that was around Mer Rouge. Everyone I know says it is the worst season ever.

I'd guess that the duck lake impoundment next to catahoula lake is one of them. Heard it was absolutely loaded with greenheads.
