Build UPWARD!

Suites are pretty much impossible. I've thought about ripping down the seats in the uppers behind the goals and seeing if you could make something happen there but unlikely.

I think the complete opposite. When TV switches to a game at the PMAC, the arena looks vibrant and colorful. It looks even better when the seats are filled.
No, no and no
I am picky about HD quality. I notice environment differences pretty easily.
Our court is behind the times.
one poster pointed out the audience lighting and that very well could be part of the problem.
to bring the fans into the game, you need to see them and they need to see each other from across

I also dislike the side that the camera is on. Usually you get to see both team benches, and you have a toned down, but nice, marketing screen that doesn't span the length of the court and doesn't look like crap.

The PMAC is forty years old, there were no suites when it was built.

I realize all of that. Still doesn't change my thoughts on the building.

agreed the pmac needs better lighting. the upper part is far too dark.

The LSU Geaux Font logo at center court is too small, way too small. (Just like the ones in the Tiger Stadium endzones)
Replace it with the Tiger Eye AND the LSU logo underneath. Just like the logo on the towels that were passed out in TS for the Alabama game.
I'd also like to see "LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY" running the length of the backcourt baseline underneath the goals.
Any graphics people out there want to put this together and post it here?

Don't think Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium has suites.

when refurbished, the seating went from scattered yellos and purple to all puple seats... this, plus poor lighting, makes the entire place look darker... it does need to be brightened up

Replace it with the Tiger Eye
and a huge eye. Replace the purple trim (sideline) with gold instead for brightness sake, better lighting, and gold seats

[u] realize the team needs to continue to get better to bring the fans enthusiasm back like it was in the 80's. But still, the court looks too dark, the fans too far back or something.
When you're re-building a program, it's these kind of things that need to happen IMHO.
We need all the help we get. But I think we just recently finished some pretty major renovations to the arena, including new seating, a new practice facility, an upgraded corridor area, etc.
I wouldn't mind seeing the lighting system improved though. I watched an Okie Lite game the other night and I was struck by how bright it looked. I'm just afraid now the t.v. audiences then might be able to actually see our fans sleeping and texting.

It was fine in the Dale Brown era. Win, and it will look much better.
I can garauntee you a young Dale Brown would be pimping that building out like there was no tomorrow if he were transplanted here today as coach. Dude was a carnival barker man.
He didn't have to do that when he started because the building was brand new.

I'm still hoping this happens

i like our court. the only thing i don't like about it is the COX advertisement. looks amateur

I don't think people realize what you're talking about. Most here probably don't watch much college basketball on TV. I agree on the brightness issue. Watch a game at Michigan State. The court is bright and the setting is incredible.
Most of the Big 10 baskeball settings are great.
The atmosphere issue also tied to the location of the student section. Students sitting on the baseline at the top of the court get shown on TV.. and their excitement gets felt through the TV screen.

so true. one of the many things that makes Duke's arena always seem like the roof is about to explode off the gym
