It really supplements Chimes East and Walk Ons well, when the other two are packed Portico will be a little less busy and more comfortable at the time if you're looking to get out and eat socially.

Plus the menu is a nice change from the other places in the area, even if it is average.

Went with another couple, in spite of my warning the ladies both ordered shrimp & grit, the guys got burgers. My theory is that this is a Sysco cafe, they can handle burgers anything fancier is a risk.

Both ladies took bites and left the dishes less then half eaten, very bad. The burgers were nothing special.

The atmosphere is like eating in a muffler shop. We parked in the back, on the way to the car we passed the open kitchen door, all you could see were Sysco boxes.

I've only been once on a Friday night before game day and it was to sit at the bar and drink. We ordered a few different things. Like I said I liked the shrimp and grits. It was different but in a good way. I actually thought it was boudin balls are something else when they 1st brought them out. Also tried the onion rings and some pork sandwich thing, which were good. For a non BRer looking to grab some food and beers it worked out perfect for us.
