You dont read articles before you post them.
quote:

Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon, however, has maintained the job was never offered to Miles, a former Michigan player and assistant coach under legendary coach Bo Schembechler, or to Jim Harbaugh, another former Michigan player who recently left Stanford to coach the San Francisco 49ers after interviewing with Brandon before Miles did.

Brandon then went off Broadway to the Mountain West Conference to hire San Diego State coach Brady Hoke, a former Michigan assistant, last Tuesday afternoon. Earlier Tuesday, Miles said he was staying at LSU, but Brandon said Hoke was the only one offered the job.

So Michigan flew down to meet with Miles twice so they could offer Hoke the job?

Makes since.

Notice how the Miles haters post a lot of crap like this? I wonder if we can get paid by the post, or on a retainer?

you believe that shite? So they didn't offer Miles (although all evidence points to the contrary) a HC at one of the elite programs...but they offered frickin' Brady Hoke from San Diego State and claim he was the only one offered.

it's called saving face after being turned down. some of you are so naive it's disturbing

League Champs might be one of the most butt hurt about miles. It's pretty enjoyable to witness.

What is the AD gonna say? The job may have "officially" been offered to Hoke only. But I can guarantee both Miles and Harbaugh had right of refusal.

Sorry. Harbaugh turned them down. Miles was not offered

Brandon and Miles were friends he felt he owed it to him to tell him that he didnt have the support for the job because of the Carr faction still at Michigan. Carr hates Miles.

The call was made to ready the hall on Monday Jan. 9th. The job had been accepted by Hoke. Miles said on the 10th he wasnt leaving, and Brandon flew to have dinner with Miles that night to ease the tension. The announcement was made on the 11th.

If Miles didnt turn them down until late on the 10th, how in the hell did they get Hoke signed, sealed, and delivered to Michigan from San Diego overnight??

I read the entire thing. The next poster after you posted this pretty much said what needed to be said.

Reading between the lines is not your strong suit, is it?

But I forgot, your friend's brother's cousin's mother in law's prison cellmate knows this for a fact and it got back to you.

So the article is correct when it says that Miles was not offered but wrong when it says Harbaugh was not offered.

Your bias is not showing at all there, is it.

I'm sure you are aware of every single conversation between miles as his reps. and Michigan reps...right?

Again...Hoke > Miles?

The fricktard is strong with you.

No you didnt.

The article clearly said Hoke was confirmed Tues afternoon. So what the hell was Miles and Brandon talking about Tues evening over dinner? It sure wasnt about the job offer, because your artcle said Hoke was already on board

Hoke was ready to sign if Miles didn't accept. It's not hard to grasp.

What exactly does "earlier" mean in this context?

So a job offer has to be face to face and between the AD and prospective HC?

Ah, so now you're clairvoyant as well! Now I see how you have so much more knowledge than the rest of us.

I'll check behind me next time you watch read an article online.

Of course, I'm sure an institution like Michigan would never have had multiple guys in the queue for a new head coaching position.
