To put it into perspective, Rockets were only 1 point favorite and Minnesota is 2 point underdog at the Hornets(although they are improving) this week.
And this week the Rockets were an 8.5 point favorite against the Lakers, which they covered

Clips and Memphis are not making the Finals and you know this.
It will be the Spurs or Thunder vs The Heat.
The Thunder cant beat the Heat but the Spurs can. Sadly for the Spurs they cant beat the Thunder.

We'll just have to disagree then

Are you saying cp3 is #2 and not durant?

You guys saying the clips aren't taking into account the style of the game in the playoffs. It slows down into a halfcourt slugfest

I'd like to see those numbers. All I've seen them do is run.
Deandre Jordan has gotten much, much better and that'll help them in the halfcourt. He has some go-to post moves now

They're actually only tied for 11th in pace and top-five in every offensive category.
LINK
ETA: The Clips and Spurs are the only teams in the top-five of offensive and defensive efficiency right now, fwiw

Clippers are getting bounced as soon as they're forced into halfcourt sets. Probably going to be Thunder vs Heat

He's at least equal

Hornets win it all
it will be Heat vs. either memphis or OKC...but i wouldn't be surprised if Brooklyn makes a run for the heat. they are playing well right now

I don't think he can dominate a game and splay off series like durant. Cp3 gets other guys involved, but again, I question how consistently he can do that in the half-court slugfests the playoffs turn in to
Posted on 1/11/13 at 11:57 am to boosiebadazz
Paul can dominate in the half court with the pick and roll the problem is VDN is probable too stupid to do that.

What world am I living in where Chris Paul isn't fantastic in the halfcourt. Everybody thinks he's a run and gun point guard but that isn't true at all.
Posted on 1/11/13 at 12:12 pm to VerlanderBEAST
Paul was at his best with the pick and pop with David West. They've tried that but Blake Griffin aint no DX. Once teams start playing physical in the playoffs, Griffin's pick and roll alley oop shite is going to die down. Hell, if Jason Smith can rattle him, what do you think ZBo will do?
Down the stretch, are they going to be able to play DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin in close games? Griffin shoots 63% from the line, Jordan shoots a hilariously bad 42%. That's the reason why I think a team like the Grizzlies would beat them.
That being said, they do have a great bench so if Butler, Barnes, and Crawford all get hot, they can be a tough out.
ETA - Yes, I realize they beat the Grizzlies last year.

No one has a problem with CP in the halfcourt. He can dominate there. It's the rest of the team. Plus, CP may have a flareup and defer to Jamal Crawford in game 7.

Chris Paul is gonna get his 20-25 with hardly any effort. I agree with HH that the pick and roll lobs won't be there. He'll get guys open jumpers but I don't know if he's getting Griffin and Jordan 4-5 lobs a night in the playoffs. Who is his pick and pop big? Why not double on the pick and get the ball outta his hands? It may find its way to a shooter, but ill live with that over a 7 game series. Thunder have two guys who can get their own shots whenever and the Griz have two (I'm counting Z-bo on the block bc he has a developed game). I'm just worried about how efficient the Clips' halfcourt offense is over a 7 game series.
ETA: Jamal Crawford may be that guy, but he is unproven in the playoffs.

Yep, that's kind of my point. If they have to rely on Jamal Crawford are we really going to say they should get to the finals?
