And I don't want to be that guy, but I'm gonna say it anyway...O'Bryant never ever should have been in foul trouble last night. some of those calls were absolutely ridiculous.
I will say that was nowhere near a charge that hey gave him... The guy was shoulder first, and late.

He was out with an injury. It was reported right before the game. Im not sure what the injury is or how serious it is, but he was not available last night.
He tweeted at 2 am last night...

Not feeling well at all ...
So maybe he was sick more than injured.

Coleman can't keep having nights like this or this year could get ugly. We need to be able to count on 15pts/gm from him.

BUT like you said, most of his points came after the game was really over. He missed 2 layups, 1 literally wide open. He missed a ton of wide open three pointers, and struggled shooting until 60 seconds left.
Let's not forget his brainfart when he forgot to catch the pass his way on the perimeter. Surprised to see a veteran so rattled

Odd that Auburn won yet some of the news sites are running this one AP game photo.

That may be the lamest moral victory ever claimed.

At times (especially in the first half) LSU uncessarily forced some really bad shots. Unfortunately, that's going to happen sometimes when you're trying to run an uptempo offense.
AU really played well on defense in the 2nd half. LSU could not figure out the zone.
Carmouche, JOB and (suprisingly) Coleman really struggled. This team won't survive many nights where that happens.
The 3's weren't falling, and that's a HUGE part of LSU's offense. I expect them to shoot better at home against UF.
The effort was there, just not the execution. I do worry about this team being able to sustain that type of effort throughout the SEC grind.
ADP played very well!!! In fact, you could argue that he should have taken some of JOB's minutes in the 2nd half.

I felt the same way. ADP had a great night. He rebounded well, looked good on offense, and altered a ton of shots.
I was expecting more of him in the second half. Maybe he was tired, IDK.

I thought this was one of Carmouche's poorest performance this year. Couple that with the way Coleman played and JOB's lack of second half minutes once again b/c he can't stay out of foul trouble. JOB has got to be one of the most frustrating players to watch just b/c he has so much potential but can never put a good stretch together against quality opponents.

It's tough to win on the road. A very weak Texas A&M killed Arkansas last night at home. Florida just crushed Georgia at home. Mississippi State actually won a game... at home.
The only road team to win last night was Ole Miss @ Tennessee... Tennessee is really struggling to score this season.
Overall, I think it is gonna be very tough to go into anyone else's gym and win unless you are a top 3 or 4 team in the SEC, which LSU really isn't quite yet.
Doesn't change much IMO.

Good write up.
I look at it this way, Carmouche will make some of those looks he missed on most nights. He had 3 or 4 wide open looks that wasn't even close. Add to that some missed layups as well and he just couldn't buy a hoop. But, he did do other things well.
Coleman struggled, but he's going to struggle some in amongst the bigs. I'd like to see him do more of what #2 for Aub did which is take some midrange shots to open up lanes to the basket.
JOB is important to LSU's success. But, I truly don't think he understands the game of basketball well. Usually when he gets the ball he just wants to shoot it at all cost. When he does pass it, someone is usually open. But, he's a PF that wants and thinks he is a SG.
This team is going to have games like this. I expect better at home against Fla, IF we can shoot the ball better and somehow learn to shoot 60-70% from the FT line.
I loved the way Hickey played and Stringer as well. Not sure why ADP didn't see time in the 2nd half. I thought he was solid in the 1st half.

My score prediction was nearly spot on with 1 min left in the game
A 43% shooter wasn't going to remain under 10% shooting the entire game. He finally made some of the shots he has been making all year. Very unforunate night for 2 of the best players to have a bad shooting night.

I think everyone knows or should know without O'Bryant LSU has not inside presence. Every opponent also knows it.

With 38 seconds left the score was exactly Ms Garrison's prediction, but that's why they play 40 minutes. Would it have been different if Carmouche hit those shots earlier then missed them at the end? No.
My score was almost perfect, but with the wrong Tigers the victor... 70-64 was damn close.
