Wailing and Gnashing of Teeth in Austin

From the CBS Sports College Message Board "There is no passion in the fan base or from the players in playing most of Big 12 teams. Meanwhile T-A&M is playing Florida, Bama, LSU, etc., every week. Their fans experience is light years better than ours due to better teams and passionate fans."
LSU fans have complained in the past that LSU didn't schedule enough quality opponents, so stop the complaining now, enjoy and appreciate this experience. Fans of the rest of the conferences have to endure playing poor competition, all the while hoping that their teams one loss, wins what amounts to a beauty contest. Other fans look at the SEC, Alabama and LSU with great envy, for we don't have to endure beauty contests anymore.
Appreciate that Les Miles and LSU have not only won against great competition from the SEC and against other conf. champs over the past seven years, they are also the only team period that has been able to repeatedly compete and knock Alabama on its arse in every game, except for the one.
For LSU fans, that's hell of a lot more fan experience than any other fan in college football could ever hope to experience or imagine. Reading the posts from fans in other conferences, they are desperate to attain what we have.
As for Alabama and its coach, they have been riding too high, their fall will be that much sweeter when Les and LSU take them down in Tuscaloosa. Believe it Tiger faithful, LSU and Les have given us too many great experiences, not to. Just saying.

so..we're lucky to be in the SEC and should be happy for that?

I agree that it is a privilege to play in this conference against good opponents every year. No one is gnashing their teeth about that. It is the complete inequity in our schedule vs. our 2 biggest competitors for the West next year in A&M and Bama that people are unhappy about, bearing in mind that the bridge scheduling process was subjective and arbitrary. The SEC needs the rotating schedule to be implemented again and there is no excuse for it to not be in place for next season.

The greatest thing about it is that Texas could have prevented all of this. But whether it was pride or just stupidity, they couldn't acquiesce. Conference pay parity + the longhorn network =A&M in the SEC. And UT, the once great solo power in the state, will be playing second fiddle forever.
Couldn't have happened to a dumber, more arrogant fan base. I love watching A&M twist the knife.

Just stating what is obvious, that LSU fans are in a great position for years to come and are far better off compared to almost anyone else who is a fan of college football.
There's no reason for most of the negative vibes towards Miles, no other coach except for Saban has delivered more great experiences to their teams fan base. That is fact they really shouldn't ignore. And when one reads the posts from fans of other conferences, it just enforces what I already know. No ones better for LSU than Les Miles, and no conference is better than the SEC.
