This crap is wearing me out. I want to hope that BHO has a lame duck term and this gun control effort petters out.
but since he was reelected my faith in humanity is gone.
my trust in conservative majority is gone as well.
perhaps something is going on that will make this effort stall or fall out of favor.
Reading the comments on this article got me fired up...but im just one man.
any of you have thoughts on this gun control effort? I considered posting this on the poli board, but I would much rather hear from beer swiggin, deer and duck killin, 4 wheel driving rednecks that i seem to gravitate towards.

On one side was a councilman who supports gun control leading an effort to give $50 grocery store gift cards to anyone who turned in their firearms to police. On the other was an event organized by a state senator that turned into an open, unregulated and legal marketplace for firearms.
God bless American Capitalism.

Gaston said he has a couple rifles himself and has always enjoyed shooting, but there is no reason for civilians to have semiautomatic weapons.
99% of the handgun in the country?

Interesting blog
Somewhere in all of the noise, people forgot that this is not a mob rule democracy, but a constitutional republic.

That is awesome. I'd love to buy that senator a beer.

I'm losing hope too man, but it really seems like America is wising up... or most of them just simply DGAF.
But then again, most Americans are ignorant in the legislation they are asking for. In this article, they have people vote whether to ban guns on campus or allow them. Obviously they are too damn stupid to realize that nearly every campus in the country already bans firearms possession... this is why mass shooters always choose them as shooting galleries.

Criminals don't follow laws. Stacking more on top of the ones we already have is not the answer.

The NRA spent at least $24 million in the 2012 election cycle, including $16.8 million through its political action committee and $7.5 million through its affiliated Institute for Legislative Action. By comparison, the Brady Campaign spent around $5,800.

3 hours ago (11:51 PM) Arms do not mean semi automatic weapons that did not exist at the time the amendment was written .

I'll make you feel better. Ready? Here goes.
You already have a gun and so you have nothing to worry about, citizen.
(How'd I do?)

I dont think any real bans get put in place. In the end Senators are not going to sign their death warrant by supporting restrictive gun legislation against the will of their constituents. The House is red so no worries there.
I think this is all talk.
