how easy would it be to drill glass and add a spigot for ease of bottling?
Not real easy. I worked at a glass company for 12 years. You're going to need a special drill, special bit, coolant, and lots of luck.
Just my opinion.
I would much rather buy a bucket or even a PET fermenter with the spigot hole already installed.

If a batch is infected can I:
Bottle it
Let it sit a couple years
???????
Profit
Era I've done this once and it turned out good. Not sure if this is thrrule though.

Guess it just depends on the infection that takes hold. Something like aceto or gusher will never get better.

Would some kegging folks look at this from AHS and see if it looks like a good deal?
My first impression is no... you can do better putting it together yourself and buying used kegs.

Just looking at it, it really doesn't look like a deal, but I've never priced that stuff out so I don't really know

I'm going to buy another 2 gal fermenting jar, a glass drill bit and stainless spigot.
I do have one batch left that I can start fermenting. I'll probably try it this weekend.
I need to start stocking up on some Grolsch bottles (only have 8 right now) because I'll have 6 gallons ready to start bottling in a couple of weeks.

My wife bought me a home brew kit for Christmas, looking at starting my first batch this weekend, starting off with a Amber malt.

I made an IPA with my first batch and it was very good.
I currently have an American Ale and a German Weizenbier fermenting.
I'll start a Canadian Draft this weekend.

Another 2 gal batch started.
6 gallons total: American ale, Canadian Draft and a Weizenbier.

Drilling into glass is a bad idea. Once you have the hole, how are you going to tighten the spigot from the inside? Buy a Better Bottle, they come with spigo and the necessary tool.

The 2 gal glass container that I have has a lid large enough for me to do what I want.

I've been drinking the American Ale I brewed. The flavor is very light with a hint of honey which I used in the carbonation process.
It's awesome because I brewed it, but that's about it..
