What has he proved?
Probably not much since he's a very young coach who was dealt a bad hand due to the CP3/Eric Gordon debacle...
His ability to develop players like Jason Smith and Vasquez can not be overlooked. That gives me hope that he'll be able to develop Rivers, Davis, Miller, and other draft picks.
I'm not sure what you're expecting but I find that it's hard to find a head coach who would be willing to develop and grow a team from the bottom up. Williams might not be the answer in the long run but I am not going to judge him based on this or last season. I'd ideally wait until the team is a little more established before we're able to see the extent of his abilities.

Oh . . . so you're one of those guys who uses your common sense, eh?

So he hasn't proven anything? It's ok to say it considering the talent he has had.
Developing Smith and Vazquez is what he gets to hang his hat on? More like they were forced to play more minutes than they should have been. Their per36 suggested they would be ok if they got minutes.
I've already said he deserves next season. And I'll pose my question again: what is the cutoff point with him?
What if Gordon is healthy the rest of the year and the team sucks? Supposedly we would have won more games if he was healthy this season.
