We dominated the first and third quarters and had our asses handed to us in the second and fourth. In fact, in the fourth quarter we had players cramping virtually every play. I realize that it was almost exclusively defensive players, but that is because they were out there the longest. While Moffit seems to walk on water according to most ranters, he has not done a good job of conditioning our players for post season play the last few years.

It seems like every game after a extended layoff, our guys cramp a lot more than other teams.

Are you crazy? The offense has done nothing in our last two bowl games. TOP goes a long way in showing how "conditioned" a football team is. Funny how the team with the vastly greater TOP looked better conditioned

Not even close, the number of snaps is the issue for the D. The offense was same old BS.

Clemson had a ton more plays, but I think a lot of people underestimate the value of that tough opening game. It gives players in the offseason something to be driven about and affects their conditioning.

we had touchdown drives of 1 and 2 plays. That will kill our defense when every other time we are going 3 and out.

no they weren't. our defense played 100 damn plays. no team in america, college or pro is equipped to play that many plays. Our defense dominated the game for hte most part. if not for some miraculous escapes by Boyd to avoid pressure.

Our defense played well enough for htis game to be a blowout if our offense could do anything at all wiht the possessions. We scored 10 points on short fields thanks to the D and one TD on a 70 yard run by Hill. So really we had one sustained TD drive the entire game.

conditioning our players
It's been my impression that somehow our players have not been in the best condition versus their opposition all season. Not particularly blaming Moffitt. Just wondering if the emphasis on Tiger Conditioning has eased over the past year or two. Good enough trumps excellence once again?

No sir. Our shitty offense kept our defense on the field too long. Same story, different week.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. To have one of the best football programs in NCAA football (e.g. facilities, resources, Moffit, etc.) and see a team unconditioned like that (after only 45 days) was unacceptable and embarrasing.

TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
