I don't really care about attendance and think it is an overblown issue (people will come if they win). But it would help if the team had at least one bankable star that people wanted to watch. Maybe Davis will get there, but the guy isn't that charismatic (the brow thing can only go so far). Even an old star or two would have helped or maybe someone with some local ties.

I'll never forget a few years ago when Shaq was a free agent and there was talk of NO signing him. He ended up taking less than 2m with the Celts. He would have put some butts in the seats down here. It made no sense not to sign him, especially when the back-up Center (Gray) made more than Shaq that year.
