A few issues...
Obviously killing people in the future isn't that big of a deal since they kill Joe's wife thus dismissing the need for loopers.
Ignoring that, since the time machine can send people to any place, why even worry with a looper at all? Send that mother fricker straight to the furnace.
This is if we accept that maybe the time machine can only send you back 30 years and no more (because you could just send them back 60 million years to be eaten by dinosaurs). Maybe it's like Quantum Leap and you must leap within your own lifetime.

I didn't think about sending someone back past their own lifetime. I guess I subconsciously assumed it to be this way.

He explains it at the begining, it is a big deal, to easy to detect so the killing of Joe's wife is a frick up.

this is the real problem with time travel movies. When there are infinite possibilites, there are infinate scenarios for people to come up with to pick at
my guess is it why take a chance he can get away or some one else seeing him or finding the body? The loopers tie it up nice.
