I don't necessarily see that we need a running QB but someone who is just quick enough to get out of trouble. Like I said previously, I have watched tons of film and have seen Jennings play in person and I believe this kid is for real. he plays like the young man that was playing across from LSU last night but faster.

No. I know Bolden isn't a great athlete, but he is more athletic than Mett. Jennings isn't some big time runner either, he's similar to Flynn.

How much time do you honestly think it takes to learn the LSU system? They probably both ran more complicated offenses in high school. LSU is as vanilla as it gets.

So exactly what is our "system"? One of these guys is dual threat. One is pro style. Miles needs to at least decide what offense he wants to run. That's been the problem all along. Jack of all trades and master of none. I do not care which he chooses. Pick one and go with it. Do you see Oregon signing a Zach mettenberger? No. Why? Because he cannot run. And they expect their qb to run a particular offense. So , again, I ask what is it EXACTLY that either of these guys is being told they should expect to do? Miles does not know.

Jennings is a lot faster than Mettenberger! Mettenberger has shown nothing this year IMO except that he is a fricking childish person who will not lead this team where they need to be. What is there to lose at this point? We've had the worst goddamn offense in the United States of America for the last 5 years for Christ sake.

This is the reason why Rettig/Jennings should get a look. Mett is not the QB for the offense we run.

I honestly feel like one or the other will get some PT in '13. Both these guys have tons of talent and can throw fairly well already. Jennings has tons of intangibles as well.
