Every year there are roughly 120 teams that fall short of the ultimate title, a NC.

We field a team that is competetive, are in every game, and win 80-90% of them. We have begun the season for the past 8-9 years with LEGITIMATE NC hopes, which is something only a handful of teams can realistically expect.

We have had our share of heartbreaks, many of them self-inflicted by the coaching staff and players, some of them just by blind luck. Our playcalling is really inept, and we dont seem to be able to develop a QB.

Les Miles is a great coach and a great man, 2 qualities that are hard to come by. We are fortunate to have him as our head coach. He does need to make some serious changes on his staff, starting with a new OC, preferably someone a bit younger and with an agressive style of offense. And actually let the new OC coach the offense.

We have legitimate NC hopes due to talent, because we have top recruiting classes. In spite of that we've one it once in the past 9 years, with another coaches recruits, in a season where multiple big upsets were required for our 2 loss team to back into the title game.

If you're going into every year with LEGITIMATE NC hopes and you're coming out of every season with a few losses and, more often than not, not even winning the SEC west, then either your expectations are too high or your coaching is ruining your talent.

I agree that Coach Miles is a great coach. I'll leave the decision-making to him with regard to staff changes.
