If we lose we'll just be back next year.

WTF...the Dolphins had games every week. Saban hasn't been doing any PCs at Bama because there's not a weekly game.
Yeah, they have done zero PCs/interviews covering the BCS title game. Besides, this has been rumored since late November. They were asking Saban about the Bama job when Shula was still the head coach too.

He had three PCS this weeks alone.
I haven't heard shite from Saban the past couple of weeks. Maybe it's because I don't live in Alabama anymore.

I don't live in Alabama anymore either. But he had a Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday PC. All are available on-line.

Who gives a frick is Saban goes. Alabama is gonna hire another top-notch coach if he does.

It'll come to an end at some point. It's not like we only win championships every 50 years. Someone else will come along.

I think they're stuck with Smart for a few years. He will win 9 or 10 games a year, but won't repeat the same success Saban had and will get canned.

I'm glad you've got it all figured out. I can relax now.

kind of like when Frank Solich replaced Tom Osborne. Frank averaged 9.6 wins a year and got canned.

We've never had a winning coach leave a vacuum, and have lots of lessons to learn.
Perhaps we should follow Pat Dye's model at Auburn. It seems to be working out well.

I hope Mal Moore laid out the blue print for getting a head coach at Alabama. Buy the best available...

I would venture to think that Bama courting Saban while he was at Miami is a little different than the Browns courting Saban now. After the debacle in Miami, Saban is going to do everything to avoid something like that happening again. I'm sure he's told the Browns leave me alone until after the NCG and then we can talk. And, I'm sure they are respecting the fact that he has the big game to prepare for at the moment. Just my opinion. I think Bama fans should be more concerned than they are....he is much more familiar with Cleveland than Miami. And they have some good talent to build upon there. If the ownership rumors are even remotely true he is a gone pecan.

Saban wants to be the highest paid coach in the NFL. His agent has already had preliminary talks with Haslam and Joe Banner. There is one other NFL team now in the running that may well meet Saban's salary and personnel demands.
