Going to overtime on a last minute touchdown, allowing 31 points and 400+ passing yards is not demolishing anyone. It's not even respectable. This defense is not good.

NO playing well right now means nothing for next season.

Momentum has to be built for the first four weeks of the season in the offseason. Imagine how excited we would be if the Saints had taken care of business against Carolina, Kansas City, and Washington.

We proved in 2009 (and somewhat last year) that we don't need a defense that holds teams, we just need a defense that doesn't completely suck. I think we're headed in that direction. That combined with our offense, we're in pretty good shape.
