bama rivals ranking

bama signs 1 4 star receiver and jumps 5 spots to #1. They have no credibility!

I would do anything just to have a recruiting class as good as bama. We can't even compete with the talent they get.

1) I can't believe some LSU fans still get silly over rivals rankings.
2) I'm guessing the fact that Bama is going for #3 in 4 years is reason enough to bump them like they do. It's a proven system.

Well if you are an LSU fan and you subscribe to Rivals you are throwing your money away. Bama alumnus started and Bama biased period end of story. The best decision I made was to unsubscribe 2 years ago, and have not missed it one bit.
Regarding the proven system and playing for the NC championship #3 in 4 years, that is true. But how much of it has to do with scheduling, and where is the seat of power in the SEC - Birmingham, AL. That is not a coincidence either. Look at what the Gumps did, they lost to TAMU, should have lost to LSU and almost lost to UGA. And they didn't have to play UF or USC like LSU did, they got to play Mizzou and Tenn.
So proven system, yeah it is the system of making sure the right people are in the right places and I am not talking about football players on the field. Look at Bama schedule for 2013, they get the vaunted UK football program and Tenn. LSU gets UF and UGA, just not right. That has more to do with how they are in the position they are in than the proven system. Think about it, what if Bama had to play UF and USC this year along with TAMU and LSU, do you think they would have had only 1 loss? I don't.

How many national championships and undefeated seasons do they need to have before rivals is proven right? Seems to me that they have been pretty much on spot. That not even going into draft picks.

This is pretty funny seeing this. Rivals was sold to yahoo a couple of years ago for over 100 million. Once the non-compete was over 24/7 was started by the same people who started rivals.
And as far as the supposed Bama bias, this is the whole reason why 24/7 does a composite ranking now. They didnt want the stigma of having a bias towards certain teams so they drcided to use al of the major recruiting services for their team rankings.

His last 2 classes at LSU were ranked #1 and #2. There has always been bias in recruiting toward kids being recruited by top teams. It just takes Rivals time to work it all out. This is nothing but a hidden recruiting tool for Bama. If you have players see how good the players are supposed to be good players jump on board. Takes less coaching when your team is stacked.

First im a Bama fan, but always root SEC. To be honest LSU has always been/is one of the top 5 jobs in the Country, we lucked out with Saban and we all know that. But this whining about recruits and rankings is getting old on both sides. Prime ex is auburn last couple years..You can be ranked first every year if you dont coach them up then who cares your ranking.
