RG3 fined $10,000 by NFL

Robert Griffin III has been fined $10,000 for his postgame attire following the Redskins' victory over the Ravens, an NFL official confirmed Wednesday. Griffin often wears a suit and tie to news conferences after games. But the Redskins’ star suffered a knee injury in that contest and instead wore an Adidas sweatsuit and t-shirt as he fielded questions from the media at the podium. Adidas is among Griffin's growing list of endorsements. The NFL’s official uniform supplier is Nike, an Adidas rival. Earlier this season, Griffin covered the Nike swoosh on his compression shirt during warmups in New Orleans with marker. In St. Louis, Griffin wore a grey shirt inside out to obscure the Nike logo. It's believed that he's worn a plain white compression during warmups since.

Addidas will probably cut him a check for $20K to offset the fine.

This is not a good way for the NFL to treat its latest cash cow.

Ha, and now Adidas will get even more free advertising in newspapers and online
Best $10,000 they will ever spend
the NFL is dumb

He knew the rules and violated them, likely with the consent of Adidas, who will also likely pay for it. No big deal.

What is he going to do, leave the NFL and go play in Canada?
It's a rule that he intentionally broke. It's not uncommon for guys to cover up a logo if they're sponsored by a competing company, that's not what he did here.
NFL gets their 10 g's, Nike's happy. Griffin gets his fine paid for by Adidas, Adidas gets additional pub. Everybody wins.

Rg3 is so full of himself. He thinks he can just do whatever he wants, wear whatever he wants, braid his hair however he wants and marry whatever white woman he wants. Thug POS

I bet this upsets Rod Parker.
Nike is a favorite of the black community / Addidas is more for white suburban kids playing soccer.
