Local shop has a bottle of Elijah Craig 23 for $275. Anyone tried this? I had a couple of bottles of the 18 yr and I thought they were great. I never got a bottle of the 21yr. Prices keep going up and up though.
Also have 2 bottles of the Wild Turkey Diamond Anniversary edition at $140.

Is that bourbon really that much better than a $50 bottle? I really don't know

I find the 23 to be a little too woody. I prefer the 21.

I thought the 21 was too woody. so the 23 has got to be an oak bomb. i passed

NYC restauranteurs plan bourbon-themed eatery at Magazine & Nashville

Hopefully they keep the NYC pricing out of NOLA though.

I thought the spheres were pretty cool when they came out, but this is interesting too...LINK

Awesome concept but I have a feeling that as soon as the juice melts the ice a little, you'll have a big awkward shaped piece of ice floating around in your cup.
Eta: never mind... It's in a mold... I think?
I'm getting one

I want to know if the ice comes in direct contact with the juice... Or if there's silicone in between.

Looks like it does after you pull the silicone mold out. So it may slide around like you were saying?
