And what of the $700 Pappy? Is it worth it? I asked Julian Van Winkle what he thought. The king of bourbon laughed. "If they're dumb enough to pay that much," he said, "that's their prerogative."

Sorry for confusion...the Pappy, but it'd have to be either the 20 or 23...

I'm partial to the 23, but partial to the price of the 20

Anyone who pays that much for it is crazy and/or starved for attention....it's good, but nowhere NEAR that good.

I got my two 23 bottles from the distributor in Fall 2011 for $170 a piece...can't believe it's gotten that much out of control...

Dr, I got the Angel's Envy at Specs in Houston. According to their website the closest state to you where they distribute is Florida. If you haven't scored any by hunting season, I'll bring some up for you on my way to my cousin's lease.

Yeah I like 4RSB more than RC too. But Elijah 12 is up there with it.

Four Roses SB is definitely my everyday go-to but for a little less $$ the small batch isnt half bad.

Haven't opened any of my bourbon bottles in a while and I feel bad about it. Been on a beer kick lately. I need to switch it up again soon.
Four Roses Single Barrel and Elmer T Lee are my favorite every day drinkers

I was gonna give it a try eventually either way.. I'm not a big fan of original Makers so that has a little to do with it as well.

I've had this sitting on my bar for almost a year now and still haven't opened it . I just always talk myself in to something else.

Never heard of this.

Have you tried it yet?

ETA: I'm heading to Houston at the end of June. I'm going to have to pack light for all the beer/bourbon I intend on bringing back across state lines . Mrs. Afro will likely call me an idiot and give me one of these ...again.

Is Elmer T Lee cheaper than Four Roses single barrel?

I found the FRSB for $35 at Specs but I don't think I've priced ETL
