Wooden crates looks like some kind of surplus foreign ammo...

That is your job today

If anyone runs across an in-stock 20" uppper, please post it. That is the current build im working on. Fixed A2 stock with 20" barrel.

I am now torn between building my .300 BLK now, or buying a friends AK that has had 19 rounds though it.

Is a CHF barrel that much better?

The average shooter won't really notice a difference, but long term it does make a difference. The average regular barrel can usually get about 10k rounds through it. A CHF barrel can supposedly take about 20K.

You mean until the twist will eventually get worn after 10k?
So why not just replace the barrel instead?

I would think, although i could be wrong, that most people will never see those numbers shot out of their weapons.

Chromelined barrels will go well over 10,000 rounds. The accuracy will start to fade due to barrel ware. You likely won't notice it unless you have a precision rig.
eta:
Precision rifles don't use chrome lined barrels as they are less accurate (minutely) than other barrels.
Also CHF is cold hammer forged. The method of production which increases life.

With ammo prices the way they are right now, I doubt I'll see 10k through mine any time in the next decade or so.

I'm looking for a more than decent Lower Parts Kit with or seperately a nice two stage trigger set preferably in stock. I have an order on backorder and they said it could be 3-6 months...
PSA had a LBK for $130 I believe the other day...i grabbed 2.

Buy your friends AK, sell me your 300BLK parts on the low low.

If I could find a BCG that thing would be mine.

That's my thoughts! It's not about wanting to, it's about being able to afford it!

Convince me to. Ha.
Worried about the BCG.

The only part I have so far is a stripped upper at home, and a stripped lower on order.

RCA is taking backorders that will be filled in March.

Are those really good BCGs?
