Oh I'm with you on the gizzards. A few local stores here do them and I seek them out. I do them at home too.
A favorite of mine my country grandmother did, smother gizzards in a gravy until tender and serve over rice.

Mission Street Cafe in the Exxon station at Hwy 73 and I-10 has some good fried innards. Get me some every time I go to the coast to go fishing.
