Yeah, he was a dual threat. If it was third and long and none of his receivers were open, he's gonna take off and use his legs to get the first down.

I don't have any USFL clips to pull up, but I would venture to guess they would show a very scramble-happy Steve Young.

I think RG3 will be very similar to Young by his third year in the league. He'll still be able to run, but he'll only do it when he absolutely needs to.

So then you would consider Rodgers a dual threat along with Fitzpatrick, Jay Cutler, and Luck. As they have all seasons of 50+ attempts of rushing (Luck will have his first this year)
