Looks like the next few years we'll have some big fast receivers and two strictly pocket passers in that span. I don't say we go pass happy but I think we'll be more balanced than the 70/30 run to pass the last few years. I see the offense becoming explosive if the OL projects to be as good as it was when they started the freshman.

Hope to see an offense closer to what we had 2003-2007

CLM plays to the strength to his hand. JJ and JL were not strengths.

If they do better than they did this year, then I say yes

yes.
plus the fact of having more confindence in ZM and oline.. takes all 3 to have a potent passing game.

Bigger WR = Better blocking

Will allow us to call more run plays.

Mett fared pretty well after a shaky start in his first year having to deal with drops and his horrible pocket awareness. I think overthrowing receivers could be fixed in the offseason along with his awareness.

Everyone forgets how much we threw the ball in '05 and '06 with Russell and '07 with Flynn. We had the right personnel then to throw it unlike we've had the last few years. As a senior, I think Mett will throw it about like flynn in '07. We still have to utilize our stable of RB's though

overthrowing on deep ball is ZM's biggest fail.

It would be nice if our guys could get some separation on the deep ball.

It's his one true fatal flaw. he easily has 5-7 more TDs this year if he doesn't.

I thought I saw them behind the defense all season. Ball to flat, too far, or over wrong shoulder.

It was right at 60:40 Run:Pass this year FWIW. Combine Oline+improved WRs+more confidence in Mett I think it will be 55:45 this year ideally.

one of the things that hurt is this season was no vertical threat.

Yeah it got better after the aTm game as Mett found his grove and Miles allowed for more passing. Also it was required to keep up.
