Louisiana has too many colleges and universities as it is.

Sadly, Louisiana is tied for fifth place nationally in lowest high school graduation rates, yet for some reason we fund over 30 university and college campuses.

If ever there was a sign of the out of control nature of the business of public education, it is this. Does a state with a high school graduation rate that is less than 70% really need to fund 30+ colleges and universities? Not unless you need them for the education jobs that they create and the federal funding that it generates.

Louisiana Tech was a top 20 ranked team this year. How many other states have two teams ranked in the top 20? Louisiana Tech would beat Ole Miss, Miss st., Auburn, Clemson, and most other secondary schools in other states, so GFY?
