Don't know yet.

Q2: What toon is that?
Wrong question. Toons are the subgroups within the army. I'm guessing this is his launch group.

Not sure though. Its a new scene since there isn't a moment in the book where Graff confronts Ender in the barracks. The only "adult" who enters the launchies' barracks is Dap.

I'm very excited about this movie since it is probably my favorite book. I'm also very worried because they could very easily screw it up.

The kids being older doesn't bother me. You can't find a competent actor at 6 years old anyway.

Read the article in the bar below the meet the cast article. There's an interview with the director and it sounds like he's doing his best to do the book justice.

exactly. i dont see this as a problem. i actually fricking hate that they are so young in the book. "let's let this 9 and 7 year old save the world" kinda bothered me actually.

You said everything I already said, Scruffy!

BTW here's Bonzo: Right on!

Bean: Thought he was blond.

Going off cast photo's to this photo: Ender front left; Alai to his right.

Were Ender and Alai Launch buddies together?

Either they increased Ford's role because of being Ford (Graff is way too behind the scenes for that kind of named actor), or they moved the shuttle scene to when they first go to the barracks.

The latter would make sense budget wise as its one fewer null-G scene they would have to do.
