You didn't list this one, but Settlers of Catan is easily my favorite board game.

I assumed he already had it... Catan is one of those games that every board gamer should be familiar with.

Also, a good card game with friends while drinking is Cards Against Humanity. Hurry, it's $25 on Amazon and they go fast.
