So, why did we have to keep South Carolina instead of Kentucky?
Why would anyone complain about USC being on our schedule when we beat them, it was a signature win, and a catalyst to the improvement of the offense (and certainly Jeremy Hill) for the second half of the season. You guys are nothing but a bunch of whiners.

Who cares? LSU beat A&M and USC both.

LSU's scheduling pattern was like this:
UT, @ Vandy
UK, @ UT
USC, @ UK
UGA, @ USC
Vandy, @ UGA
Had expansion not occured, we would have played USC and @UK in 2012.
Bama's was like this:
UF, @USC
Vandy, @UF
UGA, @ Vandy
UK, @ UGA
USC, @ UK
They would have played UGa and @Vandy in 2012.
The SEC chose to take UGA off Bama's schedule in both 2012 and 2013. How nice is that.
The SEC kept LSU and UGA on LSU's schedule.
UT, @ Vandy

USC, @ UK
UGA, @ USC
Vandy, @ UGA

could be wrong but Im going with Georgia
same here. my understanding is that bama had georgia and lsu had kentucky. therefore, the "temporary" schedule that the bama dude did up made our schedule tougher and bama's easier. fancy that.

And who was Alabama's SEC-East opponent going to be?
UGA
The bottom line is the two teams with the easiest cross division schedules made the SECCG.

i think the "temporary" scheduling should be investigated. it is a fact that lsu's schedule got tougher and bama's got easier. i have not seen a challenge that the schedule was done by a confirmed bama graduate and fan (i think the ad's voted on it tho). the whole deal stinks and one certainly can argue that bama and georgia went to atlanta due to their schedule. whom beat whom ain't the only thing about a tougher schedule; the emotional price and the injury factors can be huge. look what injuries lsu had against florida; playing kentucky or mizzou probably wouldn't have taken near the toll. yes, bama and georgia did their share to get there but to argue, esp in the SEC, that the schedule is not a factor is bull shite. and that ain't whining.

We lost the Vandy return game, and the first UGA game. A&M replaced Vandy. Missouri replaced UGA.

I laid it all out in another thread.

Had expansion not taken place, each of clear preseason favorites (LSU/USC & Bama/UGA) were scheduled to play each other. LSU/USC obviously happened and knocked USC out of the race despite pounding UGA. UGA/Bama were scheduled to play in both '12 and '13, and will not play at all. The only other series that had the same fate was UF/Ole Miss.
The fact is, deliberate changes were made that resulted in LSU playing a much more difficult slate, and Alabama playing a much easier slate avoiding the top team in the east both years of the bridge schedule. Was it done purposly to benifit Bama? I can't say.
