Looking to get my lower unit rebuilt...who's not going to frick me over. I've heard a couple people say David Wade, but judging from his website he seems like the Kirk's of the boating world, and I'd imagine the price and douche level is as high as Kirk's. So who do y'all recommend in and around BR?

What size and year of motor? Ascension Marine is good. Also Yellowfin Marine in Slaughter does great work with a quick turn around.

Look up the number to a guy name Byron Harris around Frech Settlement.
He is without a doubt the best outboard guy around!
He's worked on several motors for friends and family and has been doing it for 20+ years. He'll treat you right!

Chris Bonfanti does really good work also. He is in "deep" BR.

When I passed by Simon's the other day, his yard was as empty as I've seen it in a long, long time. Might be a good time to get it to him. He does good work, and I've had good work done at Ascension Marine on the stuff involving the computer and electrical issues that a lot of the smaller shops don't have the equipment to do. FTB experiences have involved a lot of redo, and they are higher than giraffe pussy.
