and that's a great example of cap management. Mario is a high impact player (when healthy). Butcha gotta look at Production to Price Ratio. His new contract averages a $16mil a yr cap hit. Anyone notice he has only had double digit sacks twice in his career?

There's discussion in other threads about potential personnel moves. Will Smith & Ellis surely gone will leave a void in snaps to fill. I certainly think we can do better with that $16+mil. Throw in almost $5mil if Vilma goes. That's enough bucks to go towards tying Graham up long term and get at least one such certified playmaker. The draft needs to yield one such player too. A Clay Matthews-JPP-Watt kinda player would be even more dramatic impact than what we have seen in Graham on offense.

Like I said, I see the improvement. It's just too small a sample size for me to get excited about.

I'm not sure we are in the same spot as Houston was. They've been stockpiling good defensive draft picks for years. Not sure Jordan, Jenkins, Hicks and Robinson are in that kind of talent category as Watts, Ryans and Connor. I will say that I think we have some good pieces to build around in Jordan, Greer and Lofton.

This offseason will be interesting with Vilma, Harper and Smith. This front office has been quick to cut draft picks and let free agents go. Besides Shockey, I can't remember many vets they have cut though. Can y'all think of any?
