Killer Iron Bowl this year, bro
it was pretty fricking bad, but one lopsided year doesn't end a rivalry.

Saint/Falcons is more like a little known Big 10 rivalry that plays for some obscure trophy no one knows about. Two of the worst franchises in the league historically. No one outside the two fanbases cares about the rivalry.

Saints/Falcons has really taken off here recently mostly bc of the success of both clubs. Both teams are in the midst of there best stretch ever.
Katrina also pushed a ton of Saints fans into ATL and that has intensified the rivalry as well.
I really cant speak for bears/packers or anyone else (not sure anyone here can either) but there was a lot of shite getting thrown around from both sides last night at the game.

Yeah, this year's Iron Bowl sucked and Auburn got killed, but the Iron Bowl is still one of, if not the very best rivalry in college football. The fanbases live in the same state and the Iron Bowl is a topic of conversation 365 days of the year.
Saints-Falcons is a good NFL rivalry, and a very underrated one, but it isn't on par with the Iron Bowl for at least two reasons:
(1) the fanbases are separated for the most part, so there isn't that year-round vibe like with the Iron Bowl.
(2) historically the Saints and Falcons were both terrible. Together the two teams have won one superbowl through their history and appeared in only one other. Contrast that with Alabama one of the very most successful football programs with a ton of national championships, and Auburn, which is top 15 and has two consensus national championships and several others that could be claimed.
