Ever good program out there is trying to improve thier staff continuously.
Those who rank in the bottom half of the NCAA in either offense or defense know that they must make significant changes if they want to be champions.
How do we compare by those standards?

You have to compare apples to apples. You can't compare "total offense" at LSU with "total offense" at every school, becasue LSU doesn't have an offensive philosophy that allows them to run the spread and get 90 offensive snaps a game. They are a run first mentality and get about 60-65 snaps per game. Becasue of this, looking at overall national ranking is going to be heavily skewed in favor of spread teams and against power running teams. A the end of the day, LSU rushing for 180/gm and throwing for 207/gm. We are damn near perfectly balanced and tbh it took us over half a year to finally get the passing game going. While I wish we had a little less predictability to our offense, it still is an effective one once all the pieces are in place.
If you want to see how we compare to toher teams ranked near us, look at yards/offensive play.
ND - 5.9
Bama - 6.6
UGA - 6.9
Florida - 5.0
Oregon - 6.4
K-State - 6.2
LSU - 5.3
Stanford - 5.4
aTm - 6.6
SCar - 5.4
funny thing is Florida and LSU played 4 of the top 10 teams here. No other teams did that. We aren't as bad as people want to make out.
