Do you really think LSU would not have given a raise to a coach who hadn't had a raise since 2007, and in the meantime won an SEC championship and got his team to the BCSCG?

No. My problem isn't the raise its the circumstances and appearance of how it went down. But I am over it It's a new day.

anyone ripping Miles is absolutely nuts. He did what most high end professionals do when it comes to their position and their salary. He was offered more by a competitor and his current boss showed loyalty by giving him a raise. If LSU couldn't or wouldn't offer Miles a raise and extension, it would reflect poorly on the University, and Miles would then consider making a move based on the pros (money and commitment) and cons (moving to struggling arkie and starting over with HIS style program) . LSU simply locked Miles up with a comparable offer that shows loyalty. Miles probably had minimal involvement and his agent handled 90% of everything. Miles' press quotes were benign and honest. He doesn't appear like he was some slime ball searching our more money... it was well deserved because the market demanded it.
