In those eight years, only two have been less than double digit-win seasons(the tumultuous 08/09 years)

That is an incredible record at an SEC school..I don't care who you are

You may hate him, but you have to admit his success is no fluke

Agreed with everything you said.

Honestly the only thing I am frustrated with is how we have lost and how certain things were managed on the football field. That is all.

What really chaps my arse(but im not going to sling around blame) is that had chavis not switched the defensive scheme in the Bama game, we could be heading to our second straight SECCG matchup with UGA right now

Oh well..it happens sometimes..

Here's my take: all the people who are unhappy with LSU's success under Miles would probably be happy with it if $$$$$ wasn't winning at Bama. Those same people acknowledge $$$$$ as the best coach in college football, yet are beside themselves that LSU loses to the Tide once in while.

All Miles does is put a winning team on the field, but some people want 'prettier' wins.

Don't care.

What's he done since January 2011, his last contract extension.

Winning an SEC championship and a Peach Bowl doesn't = another 7 years

Good for FOURTH in conference record among active coaches.
Richt
Spurrier
Saban
If Meyers was still here he would be ABOVE ALL of them.

ALL RANK AHEAD OF HIM and only 1 makes more money!

Do people not get where some of the "aggravation"(not anger)is coming from. LSU just gave Miles an extension and raise after just doing so TWO YEARS ago! And for what? Because purportedly another SEC school made him a big job offer? Did anyone really think the Arkansas "offer" was anything more than just a negotiating ploy?

Did anyone really think that Miles would leave LSU to coach a team who is in the same division, of the same conference, who plays the same teams year, and who has had less success over the last 8 years than the team he currently coaches? Well apparently the dumbasses in the AD's office did.

This wasn't a case of LSU needing to pony-up to keep Miles from exploring a ligitimate threat such as Michigan or the NFL. LSU gave Miles a raise to prevent him from taking a job he was never going to take in the first place. The only people that suffer are the season ticket holders who now have to foot the bill.
