Just a rumor I heard from someone a few weeks back that came out of nowhere that Miles was seriously considering retirement after this season. Personal issues, time with family, etc. Caught me by complete surprise and have not heard anything else from anywhere else...but the reasons given sounded logical.
Nothing more than that...I am still hoping it was completely wrong, FWIW.
I also heard a rumor that miles was going to michigan. And then to olorado, then to dallas, and now back to colorado.

With the fact we will be transitioning into the playoff, I say yes.
Lots of talent coming in over the next few years. We will be competetive and in the hunt as long as Miles is the HC.
Thats more than can be said for the large majority of other college coaches.
I hope Miles doesn't retire/leave soon. But the flip side to that is then maybe the Miles haters will see what the alternative was and realize they were being bone headed in their constant nit picking and doubting of Miles... ah who am I kidding... More likely any problems the next coach faces or causes will some how also be attributed to Miles. Tards

Admins will whack this. I got in trouble for rumors once
Fine by me...I wasn't trying to start one. I wanted to answer the OP's question but I didn't want to just say "no" without a bit of clarification.
Whack away...no intention of spreading a rumor.

Yes, he will and the night Miles is holding the trophy, Foosball will be crying his eyes out clutching his Nick Saban blow up doll.

I have great faith that the LSU AD would be able to find an able successor to Miles. We replaced Saban, didn't we?
Joe Dean ain't the AD, anymore. Why do some of our fans believe that our next coach is destined to be an incompetent? We have one of the most desirable head coaching jobs in football.

ETA: since they'll have a playoff, he can make it to the nc with 2 losses so who knows..
So could any team. Bama wont ever have to win the sec again and they will be in.

I'd believe a rumor that Les is retiring before a rumor about him leaving. He got offered his dream job twice and turned it down. He's not leaving for any other team.
But if he has reason to retire, he will. I don't believe that rumor at all, but it'll happen within the next 5-10 years

Its a rumor and its false. I was just stating all the other rumors that miles haters want so badly to be true. Thats how sad they are.

I believe you. I was just repeating some of the rumors about the players that are academically ineligible this year. Then got a PM after

No. But he will win 8,9,10 games every year. Isn't that good enough?

Not if you fire a guy that wins 80% of his games. And no i have zero faith in joe alleva. He hasnt made one good hire at any of his schools. Jones could be, but we need a few years on that one.
You should go see the coaches he hired at duke. He also kept one on that went 1-11 and was caught giving his players roids. I dont care its duke, you dont keep a head coach like that.

Thanks...understood.
If an admin wants to knock it off, feel free. I had heard this weeks ago and had purposefully not said anything. Didn't mean to now.

He averages over 10 wins a year. Bout to be 3 strait with 11. Try harder next time.

How do you know it's false? Are you a program insider? GeauxTigerTM may have heard it from one of the major donors on the Roar or from some other credible source.
In any event, it's no more absurd than much of the drivel bandied about on the board.
